A working paper by Douglas Walker and John Jackson entitled "Do U.S. Gambling Industries Cannibalize Each Other?" (2006?) examines how the various U.S. gambling industries affect each other. Specifically, they analyze the following four industries from 1985-2000: casinos, greyhound racing, horse racing, and lotteries.
